Assistant Professor

Dr. Goerdel is Assistant Professor of Public Administration at the University of Kansas. Her research focuses on the contribution of public management to organizational performance, as well as the perceived and actual value of collaboration in interdisciplinary problem solving in the public sector. She has applied both quantitative and qualitative research approaches to confront timely questions of interest to managers, policymakers, and the public in the domains of public education, public health, homeland security governance, and terrorism intelligence and information sharing.

Dr. Fuge's research focuses on developing machine learning algorithms that learn from and subsequently aid human design and creativity; a mixture of topics that he calls Design Informatics. This involves using a combination of artificial intelligence, machine learning, computational linguistics, ethnography, human-computer interaction, social science, and crowdsourcing techniques to analyze and build web-based software tools for designers on top of scalable machine learning systems.

Dighton Fiddner, PhD is assistant professor in the Department of Political Science at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He currently teaches international relations, American foreign policy, and public policy courses. His
interests also include national and international security policy, complexity, and the information system as a national security risk.

Sang Ok Choi is an Assistant Professor of the Center for Public Administration and Policy at the School of Public and International Affairs at Virginia Tech. He was previously an Assistant Professor at the Department of Public Administration and Public Policy at the California State University, Dominguez Hills. He teaches courses on Public Management Network, Public Human Resource Management, Public Budgeting and Financial Management, and Advanced Methods.

Jesús N. Valero is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Utah, where he teaches courses on nonprofit organizations and public administration.  His research interests are in public and nonprofit management, cross-sector collaboration, and public service leadership.

Jordan Tama is an Assistant Professor of International Relations at American University’s School of International Service, a Research Fellow at the Center for Congressional and Presidential Studies, and a Co-Director of the Bridging the Gap Project. A political scientist by training, his research examines the politics, processes, and institutions of U S foreign and national security policy making. He has published work on national security strategic planning, presidential-congressional relations, and independent commissions.

Randy V. Bradley is an assistant professor of Information Systems and Supply Chain Management in the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He holds a PhD in Management of Information Technology and Innovation from Auburn University.

Daren C. Brabham is an assistant professor in the Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism at the University of Southern California, as well as the founding editor of Case Studies in Strategic Communication. He was the first to publish scholarly research using the term crowdsourcing in 2008 in an article in Convergence. Dr. Brabham is the author of the book Crowdsourcing (MIT Press, 2013).
