Bridget Gauer

Ms. Bridget Gauer joined the NIH Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC) as the Deputy Director in June 2015. Ms. Gauer is the Acting Director of NITAAC, setting the strategic vision for the NIH GWAC program, which consists of three vehicles valued at $60 billion (CIO-SP3 and CIO-SP3 Small Business and CIO-CS).

Ms. Bridget Gauer joined the NIH Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC) as the Deputy Director in June 2015. Ms. Gauer is the Acting Director of NITAAC, setting the strategic vision for the NIH GWAC program, which consists of three vehicles valued at $60 billion (CIO-SP3 and CIO-SP3 Small Business and CIO-CS).

Ms. Gauer has over 20 years of acquisition and leadership experience. Most recently she served as the Division Director of Contracts for the HHS Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response (ASPR) and the Acting Director for the Acquisition Program Support Division within the Acquisition Management, Contracts, and Grants office. Prior to joining HHS, Ms. Gauer served as the chief of contracts for the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Ms. Gauer has been the recipient of numerous Government awards and honors, including the Chief Acquisition Officer’s Council Award for her efforts with federal intern programs, the U.S Army Commander’s Award for Civilian Service, and is a U.S. Army James Carroll Excellence in Management award recipient. Ms. Gauer is FAC-C Level III certified in Contracting and Level II FAC P/PM. She holds a B.S. in Recreation and a M.B.A. and M.A. in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College.
